Download Cisdem PDF Converter OCR and install it on Mac. * This is a textbook that I purchased and for some reason I cannot purchase nor rent the eBook version of this edition (the editions before and after I could!). I tried CISderm OCRwizard on the Mac, but it wants to create me a new formatted PDF with all the mistakes that it added in. This page does what I want and so does but they won't do many pages at once or won't do a file even close to 1GB (I don't even see an option to pay). I understand that the OCR won't be perfect, but I want to read the perfect scan (not the mistaken OCR words), but if I want to search for keywords the OCRing will be helpful to find words in the book (at least the recognized OCR words). Is there an app (or site) that will OCR the text (only), while retaining the original scanned image, so that I can search the book, but I'll be reading my original scans (not reading mis-scanned text)? Before you recommend a site, it's 700 pages and about 1GB in size. To be clear, I want to be looking at the original scan, I just want the text (invisibly?) embedded on the page (like the links below do). I have a beautiful scan of a textbook* at 600dpi and looks excellent.
